South Georgian Bay Region

The GTDI represents the Development Industry in the South Georgian Bay Region which includes Collingwood, Town of Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach, Clearview and Town of Meaford.

This Region is within the Province of Ontario and is split between two (2) Counties.  Collingwood, Wasaga and Clearview are within the County of Simcoe. Town of Blue Mountains and Meaford are within the County of Grey.

The Region is also split between two (2) Conservation Authorities. They are the Nottawasaga Conservation Authority and the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

Portions of the Region are subject to the Niagara Escarpment Commission.

Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, at the mouth of the Big Head River. Meaford is situated on the Georgian Bay coast and is at the heart of Ontario’s apple country.

The Town of the Blue Mountains is nestled between Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment and is comprised the town of Thornbury and the village of Clarksburg where the Beaver River flows into Nottawasaga Bay.
